Case study · L'Oréal Paris — Elseve Extraordinary Oil

A drop of liquid gold
— and the proof it works.

L'Oréal Paris Elseve Extraordinary Oil launched into a crowded haircare shelf and came out Taiwan's number-one word-of-mouth hero. Not from a single banner, but from a full responsive content world: a golden celebrity key visual, stylist tutorials, side-by-side proof tests, real reviews and shop-now — beauty on the surface, evidence underneath. As Associate Creative Director with Publicis, I led the art, creative and digital.

The idea

Make it gorgeous — then prove it.

Hair oil is an easy sell to make pretty and a hard one to make believable. So the campaign did both jobs at once: the surface is pure L'Oréal luxe — black, gold, a single drop of oil falling from a flower onto glossy hair — while the substance is a stack of demonstrations and honest reviews that answer the shopper's real question, "but does it actually work?" Desire and evidence, in the same golden frame.

Beautiful enough to want — proven enough to buy.

02
The campaign site

One golden world, every screen.

The hub is anchored by a celebrity key visual and that unmistakable drop of gold, then built to hold together from desktop to tablet to phone — the same warmth, the same hierarchy, the same hero product wherever a shopper lands. It's the front door the whole campaign flows through.

Proof in motion

Show it working.

The believing happens here: side-by-side absorption and shine tests, one-minute stylist tutorials, before-and-afters, and a wall of real reviews from press and beauty influencers. Woven through it, the brand film brings the glossy promise to life. By the time a shopper reaches "buy," they've already watched it earn it.
