Who is Yenfu [Rusty] Chen?

Yenfu "Rusty" Chen is a New York-based interactive, UX/UI, motion and AI designer and creative technologist with twenty years of experience. He is currently AI Technology Lead at Mekanism, has designed services, campaigns and digital products for global brands, and teaches digital design as an instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT).

What does he do?
He works across interactive design, UX/UI, motion design and, increasingly, generative AI and AI interfaces — in roles from UX/Technology Director to Creative + AI Technology Lead.
What brands has he worked with?
He has designed work for brands including Chanel, HBO, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, McDonald's, L'Oréal, Johnnie Walker, Citi, NBC, GSK, AstraZeneca, Allergan and Boehringer Ingelheim.
Where does he teach?
He is an instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York; his students have won Young Ones and One Show awards.
What is he working on now?
He is focused on generative AI, AI interfaces and creative machine learning — exploring how AI reshapes interactive and product design.
